This policy explains what information United Technology Employers' Coalition of America ("UTECA") collects through uteca.org and how it is used.
Information we collect
- Analytics. Unless you decline, we use Google Analytics to measure how visitors use this site, such as pages viewed, approximate location (city or region), device and browser type, and how you arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies for this purpose. We do not use advertising cookies.
- Email. If you write to a uteca.org address, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message.
This site has no accounts and no forms. The UTECA member portal, board portal and events site are separate services with their own notices.
How we use information
We use analytics to understand which content is useful and to improve the site. We use email correspondence to respond to you and to manage membership, partnership, media and policy inquiries. We do not sell or rent personal information.
Your choices
Analytics runs unless you decline it. You can decline in the banner shown on your first visit, and change your choice at any time with the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser.
Sharing
Analytics data is processed by Google on our behalf. We may disclose information if required by law.
Retention
Analytics data is kept for the retention period set in our Google Analytics account. Email is kept as long as needed to handle your inquiry and for our records.
